Organic Shortcrust Pastry

Ingredients

Suitable for vegetarians
For a 20 - 25 cm pastry case

225g plain flour
Pinch of salt
100g butter, cut into small pieces

Method

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and rub in butter until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs.
Add enough cold water to mix to a light dough.
Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
Chill for 30 minutes before using.
