EUROPEAN ORGANIC MILK PRODUCERS TO MEET IN THE UK

The Alliance of European organic milk producers, created by the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (OMSCo), met for the second time in Frankfurt last week to aid in the development of the European organic dairy market announcing that next years conference will be held in the UK.
The event will be held in Somerset the first time an organic farming event of this magnitude has ever been held in the UK. This OMSCo-led event helps to further reassert the organisations standing as a leading seller of organic dairy produce in the UK, enabling their members draw on the expertise and skills of farmers throughout Europe.
Sally Bagenal, chief executive of OMSCo attended the conference. She said, It is vitally important that organic milk producers work together to promote and develop a sustainable organic dairy market, especially in the present climate. We are absolutely delighted that so many European countries were able to attend the second meeting of the alliance.
Delegates from the UK, France, Denmark, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland were on hand to share information. In particular, the alliance focuses on strengthening the market across the European Union for organic dairy products; so that the organic dairy farming sector can grow.

organic dairy farmers joined forces to sell their organic milk. Now with around 500 members, OMSCo is the largest and longest established UK organic milk supplier.
