OMSCO APPOINTS NEW QUALITY MANAGER

The UK's leading and longest established supplier of organic milk, the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (OMSCo) has appointed Roger Duckett as Quality Manager. Duckett will work with OMSCo's farmers to ensure high standards of quality and traceability across the board and will also be responsible for supporting OMSCo's rigorous quality and safety testing programme.

Duckett has a long term interest in organic farming and sustainable agriculture. He has been a dairy farmer for over 16 years, achieving organic accreditation in 1997 and has been a member of OMSCo ever since.

His role will be to advise farmers, acting as a point of reference to advise farmers on maintaining the highest quality standards, offering solid support, ensuring industry and customer confidence at all times.

Duckett says: "I am delighted to be able to use my own experience to advise our farmers and to ensure OMSCo's high standards are maintained. Organic liquid milk sales are growing at more than 30% year-on-year and guaranteeing producer, retailer and consumer confidence remains our top priority.
